That doesn’t mean that you have to sit at your desk all day writing blog posts and making notes about a topic. It means that you just need to be more aware of the fact that you are a blogger. You may be wondering how thinking about your blog often, will help you to be a more productive blogger. It sounds like the opposite would happen. However, the answer is actually quite simple.

You might not actually want to write about your pizza being delivered late. But you could write about how doing things on time helps your business and missing deadlines is bad for business.
This can become some of the best content for your blog as it is true and you have feelings about it. You can therefore write with authority and meaning. Your readers will love it. And laugh along with you.
Productive Bloggers Wear the Blogging Hat
A productive blogger is always wearing their blogging hat. Even when they’re not actually at the keyboard writing.
You may not be entirely focusing on or thinking about your business. But throughout your day, you’re going to come across many events and ideas that you can use in your business. A productive blogger is constantly tuned in and looking for ways that they can use their life experience in their blog posts.
For example, lets say you blog about diet and fitness. Your weekend trip to the supermarket is now going to be much more than a necessity. You can now look at what latest products are being promoted currently. Which types of food appear to be selling the most? Whether healthy food is as good value for money as the unhealthy food.
A productive blogger is one that can turn their everyday life into something to blog about. No matter what your blog is about, you can find something to take from your daily life and use it to give inspiration for a blog post or topic.
Your Blog is Not Separate From Your Life
To really be a productive blogger, you need to get yourself into the frame of mind where you’re not looking at your blog as a separate entity to your life. You need to see it as being part of your life. This means you need to integrate it as much as possible if you really want to come up with the best blog content that’s interesting and unique in perspective.
A blogger that’s looking to increase productivity is one that is always looking for ideas, always storing valuable information and always looking for links, analogies and patterns that they can somehow include within their blog.
Life throws you so much information and so many ideas. You want to be a productive blogger that can accept information that is being given instead of always having to go looking for it. This means you cut your research and note making down to almost nothing.
In order to become a productive blogger you really need to tune yourself into the awareness of what’s going on around you. Often, ideas for the best blog content will come out of nowhere.
As a blogger you’re a website creator, a writer, a producer and an editor. You need to be thinking about the other roles that comes with being a blogger when you’re not in your writing mode. One of those is to really get out there and be on the lookout for ideas. Not just when you’re at the computer, but when you’re away from it as well.

So as you go through life gathering content for your blog, you need somewhere to put it. You certainly can’t keep it all in your head.
You need to find the best blog content planner that meets your needs. Do you like to jot notes down by hand? Do you have a digital means of note taking? Find the best method for yourself that works well with your preferences.
It took me a while to find the method that works well for me, but I am much happier now. I don’t worry that I am going to forget anything. And every time I want to write a blog post, I have lots of blog content just waiting.

I’m constantly thinking about my blog but after reading this I think I’m going to set myself a little challenge in order to try and make that thinking a little more productive..
Rather than just thinking about random things (lets be real I’ll still do that) I’m going to set myself the task every day of thinking about something from that day that would relate well to my blog.. Just one thing, every day..
Sure some days the ideas might not make the best of blog posts, so I just won’t use them, but it’s going to be about keeping my mind open to different opportunities and ideas that present themselves on a day to day basis. Hopefully it will help eliminate any future content planning blocks!

I have found that to be a key to my productivity and that is challenging myself. Trying to find better ways to do the things that I know work. As much as I try apps and things on my mobile phone, pen and paper works best for me. It is just a case of jotting down stuff that is useful or could be useful. My new method is to use my daily planner. so I write down meals, things to do etc in a daily planner but I have added a column for things that I might want to include on my other blog. I may not always write it on the day (I usually don’t!) but I can flip through and see a prompt. I can also kid myself that I am super organised as I have everything in one place!
